Additional Information for Presenters
This Teachmeet is focused on sharing teaching practices, strategies or programs that promote Curiosity, or Creativity, or Collaboration (or all three!) in learning. This can be related to either students, teachers or parents. We encourage teachers, students or parents to prepare and present either a 7 min presentation or a short 3.5 min presentation which explores an aspect of the theme. This event is open to any individual interested in learning or involved in education. Particularly educators in the ACT Region.
The presentations will be delivered in the Lecture Theatre at Gungahlin College 12 November 4.30 - 6.30 pm
A 'Teacheat' will follow the event at Ginger and Spice at 7pm. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to attend dinner afterwards.

What is a Teachmeet
- TeachMeets are meetings/un-conferences where teachers share good practice, practical ideas and personal insights into teaching and learning
- All participants are encouraged to be ready to volunteer an idea, a tool or a website that they have delivered in their classroom.
- Any teacher can host a TeachMeet, and choose a theme relevant to their practice – participants then offer to present an idea that is related to the theme
- Alternatively they can discuss a product that they believe enhances their classroom practice.
- All teachers are encouraged to attend and learn.
- The idea behind TeachMeets is hearing stories about learning, from teachers (and sometimes students as well!)
- This is a chance for teachers from all types of schools to network and to hear ideas from each other.
- A key element of a good TeachMeet is offering a variety of short, sharp presentations rather than longwinded keynotes.
- TeachMeets are open to all regardless of experience, qualifications or sector and do not charge an entry fee.
